Forgotten instruments may have value
Many of them are student-grade and are of little value to musicians or collectors. However, it's not uncommon for a long-forgotten instrument to have significant value, as long as it hasn't been damaged by heat, moisture or insects as a result of careless storage decisions.

Your piano is fit to donate to a large variety of organizations, including:

You may want to go to the local classified boards, or classified ad sites such as craigslist or Gumtree. More often than not, someone will be willing to take your piano off your hands for you. Offer it to them as sold as seen with local pickup only.
Local disposal companies or recycling centres in the UK can remove and dispose of different types of pianos. However, some disposal won't provide the transport facility if the weight of the piano is above the limit. We recommend you to call your local disposal centre to obtain information on piano disposal.

There are plenty of buyers looking to save a bit of money on the resale market, yet used pianos can be difficult to sell. Pianos are difficult to move from one place to another, making it challenging to arrange a sale.
In short, no, you cannot legally sell old ivory piano keys; they would have to be sold with the original pre-1975 instrument they are taken from. Often, ivory keys are offered to piano technicians who can hold onto them until they are required as part of historic restoration.
